Today is bittersweet......we have a new challenge over at Twisted Tuesday, however, it is our last challenge. Melina, has made the hard decision, to not continue with the challenges. I won't go into the details, but you know....life!
So here's our last challenge....we want to see chevrons on your creation. The Twist, is to include ribbon on your creation. Here's my take on the challenge......
Oh I had fun with this challenge!! I decided to go with lots of colors!!!! And I used up a ton of old as the hills products on this layout! The papers are from Blue Fern Studios' Ombre Dreams Collection. I stencilled with Clear Scraps Chevron Stencil and a mix of Golden Molding Paste and Ranger's Dimensional paint in Eggplant. For the large stencilled flowers, I used a Plaid stencil and a mix of Shimmerz Texturez in Crushed Coral and Lindy's Stamp Gang's Magical in Chateau Rose, to get a darker pinky orange color.
I used up some rubons from BoBunny, Kaisercraft and Fancy Pants, along the chevron, as well as on the right side of the page. The flowers are from Recollections, Petaloo and I Am Roses. The ribbon and rhinestones are from my stash. The Prima wood veneers were inked with Prima chalk inks in Vintage Pink, Pastel Violet, Sweet Pea and Moss Lawn, as well as Memento ink in Pear Tart and Elderberry. The alphas are American Crafts.
I hope you enjoyed my layout today. Don't forget to check out all of the gorgeous DT projects over on the Twisted Tuesday Blog. Do join us for our final challenge....let's make this one a huge success!!
Finally, I want to thank Melina, for having me on the Design Team. This DT gig came at a time, when I needed it very much in my life. I was at the point of closing down my blog, and just doing whatever I wanted, when I wanted to. I was previously on other DT's, and I took a break for a while, and then decided it was time to get back on the wagon. So I applied for many DT and Guest DT positions, and was not very fortunate. That is, until I saw the Twisted Tuesday call. Melina replied almost immediately to my application. And I know, she's not aware of this, but she gave me wings to fly again!!! Thank you so much Melina!!!!
I also want to thank my fellow DTs for all of their generous support, hard work on the team, and inspiration that they have provided to myself, and to all of you, who have played along with us!! Thank you Jeanette, Tracie, Vickie, Hillary, Lizzie, Lori and Majo. I consider all of you friends, which I will cherish. I pray for success in all of your future endeavors!!
So this isn't goodbye, just see you on the other side!!
