Hi everyone, Lynne here today, sharing a writing tablet holder, featuring gorgeous papers from Maja Design. I have chosen neutral as well as teal and blue papers from Vintage Spring Basics, Vintage Summer Basics and Vintage Autumn Basics to work with.
These papers are so gorgeous and they pair very well with flowers from the Penny Lane Collection.
I absolutely love the 'paisley' paper, so I had to feature it on the cover!!!
As you can see, my tablet holder opens vertically. I used medium weight chipboard for the base, top and spine, and then covered the whole thing with paper. I added a large pocket to the base so that I can tuck a fresh writing tablet into it, once the old one is used up. Doing it this way, means you'll always have a pretty tablet on your desk, by the telephone, etc.
You can barely see the tablet itself, as I also covered its top.
On the cover of the original tablet, I layered more papers, and added a pocket for a couple of tags. You can see that I kept the inside as flat as possible, I didn't want any added bulk inside.
On the cover, I layered a few papers, rolled up the corner of one, and tucked in some lace, and an element piece from the cut-apart sheet. Then it was time to add my flowers, layered over a bit of cheesecloth, and another element piece. For the finishing touch, I added a few rhinestones.
Don't forget to participate in the giveaways!!!!
