Here's the Case File
I am a sucker for blues and greens, so I love this one!!!
I started with white cardstock from American Crafts, and sprayed on some color, Shimmerz Spritz in Bamboo Leaf and 13 Arts in Pastel Cobalt.
Next I added a bit of stamping with Ranger Archival Ink in Jet Black, and stamps from Eco Green Crafts Classic Ornaments, Unity Stamp Layers of Life November 2014 Bring it to Life and BoBunny Stitches.
I then added Viva Decor Pearl Pen in Copper and ran it through Crafter's Workshop Stencil Harlequin. I didn't want full coverage, so some areas are lighter than others. The splatters were made using Dr. Ph. Martin's Bombay Ink in Black.
Now for the matting behind the pic.....I had some negative holder in my stash, and these along with one wood veneer frame, were treated to a slathering of products. First gesso, then I glued on some 13 Arts Fine Grained Grit in Light Grey, then I painted with Dylusions Paint in London Blue. Once dry I added some Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst Sprays in Hydrangea Blue and French Lilac Violet. I inked the edges with the jet black ink, and then I added a few drops of Ranger Alcohol Ink in Rust, and finally a bit more gesso over top.
I had a couple of transparency frames (unknown) in my stash, so I layered those, along with a tag for my journaling, just under the pic.
The flowers were created with Tim Holtz's Tattered Florals die and Prima Elementals Canvas, which I sprayed with the Shimmerz Bamboo Leaf. For the center, I added a brad, colored with the rust alcohol ink.
I love playing along with CSI's Case Files. They are so inspiring, and really get you thinking out of the box......if you let them!!!!! Come play along with us.
