Sharing the last layout for CSI. As you know, the Flying Unicorn CTs are Guesting this month.]
Here is Case File #141
And here is my take on this week's Case....
I have to say, this is my fave!!! And I took some liberties by adding a bit of aqua to the mix, but frankly, it needed it!
I started by adding strips of scrap paper and washi tape to my background. Next, stamping with....yep Dylusions Further Around the Edge (leaves). I used my Artists Loft (Michaels) watercolors, to paint in the leaves. Once it was dry, I added more stamping with Unity's Layers of Life Spring Inspired set and Ranger Archival Ink in Jet Black.
I added some stencilling with Prima/Finnabair Bubbles stencil and Golden Molding Paste.
I used Faber Castell Stampers Big Brush Pens to color in my bubbles, as well as to do the shading around them. Highlights were done with Uniball Signo Gel Pen in White. Once everything was dry, I went over the bubbles with Glossy Accents. Then I added my pic, and realized this layout looked flat....that's when I pulled out the watercolors again, and went in with aqua, just to highlight the pic. The frog was my 'unusual' item! It was in my stash....it's a long story!
Alphas are Tim Holtz and American Crafts Foam Thickers.
The flowers are Prima Le Mia (green) and Petaloo Peony. I sprayed the Peony flower with Lindy's Flat Fabio in Wicked Witch Purple, let dry and then over-sprayed with Ranger Adirondack in Wild Plum.
I have decided that I need to play more with bright and bold colors....love!!!!
Now, it's your turn....head on over to CSI and play along with us!!
