Hi everyone!! Well it's back to normal around here....as normal as it gets, when you're anticipating a tropical storm, possible hurricane. Thankfully, Isaac probably won't be very strong by the time it gets near us! Aside from that....I'm back to working days....starting tomorrow!! Yea!!!!! Working overnight has never affected me as much as it did this last time around.....I'm so glad I'm done with it!
And now, it's time to catch up on leaving comments, posts, etc. So, if I haven't stopped by your blog....rest assured, I'm working my way there! Meanwhile, here's one of my latest......
I'll try and run through this quickly. This is my daughter Ashley....I love this pic! Layered papers are from Prima, the top one is edged with a metallic gold marker. The diecuts are from K&Co. The butterflies are from Petaloo. The lace is from my stash. The filigree plate in the top left corner is from Jolee's Lalibieri....find these in the jewelry section at Joanns.
I matted my pic on cardboard, which I stripped the top layer off of, and then painted with Antique White paint. The flourishes were cut with a Tim die on My Mind's Eye paper, and then distressed with Picket Fence Stain. Once they were dry, I sprayed them with LSG Starburst Spray in Creme Brulee Cream. The filigree leaves were re-purposed from cheap jewelry, and embossed with Lindy's Stamp Gang in Spring Leaf Chartreuse.
All of the gorgeous flowers are from I Am Roses!! There are gardenias, roses, curly roses, cherry blossoms and daisies. I left the flowers unadorned!! Yep, they're just that beautiful!! And the colors...oh my! I'm not sure who makes the pin, but I added a large pearl and a bead cap (Jolees) to the bottom of it. The metal birdcage is Prima, and I can't remember what I did to it, but I'm pretty sure it was white to begin with.
So that's my project for tonight! Thanks for stopping by!!!!!
Oh, I almost forgot.....gonna be on vacation in a few weeks....I'm thinking of doing a giveaway to celebrate!!! Maybe a Halloweenish kit......hmmm!
